The kings of stage presence and vocal power, MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, I.M), have officially entered comeback countdown mode.
On August 5, Starship Entertainment revealed the schedule poster for their upcoming mini-album, THE X, via the group’s official social media. Styled like a bold front-page flyer, the poster mapped out a wave of teasers that instantly set the global fandom abuzz.
According to the schedule, MONSTA X will drop the tracklist on August 8, followed by concept photos for the “UNKNOWN X” and “HELLO X” versions on August 10 and 12, gradually turning up the comeback heat.
The pre-release rollout begins in earnest mid-month: a music video teaser for the pre-release track arrives on the 16th, the song itself drops on the 18th, and a performance video follows on the 21st — keeping fans hooked with back-to-back content.
The momentum won’t stop there. More concept photos (“UNDERDOG X” on August 23 and “XX” on August 25), the title track MV teaser on August 30, and the album preview on August 31 will keep anticipation at fever pitch ahead of the September 1 comeback. A cheeky “REMIX DROPS SOON!” tag at the bottom of the poster has only fueled speculation.
Right after the schedule reveal, MONSTA X surprised fans with a cinematic trailer for THE X. Blending the elegance of traditional Korean art with the group’s signature intensity, the video left a lasting impression — ending with I.M’s poignant English narration: “Ten years is not the end — it’s the beginning of something entirely new.”
Marking their 10th anniversary, THE X serves as a symbolic chronicle of MONSTA X’s journey. The title plays on multiple meanings — “the one and only unknown,” endless possibilities, a fresh direction, and of course, the Roman numeral for 10. It’s an artistic reimagining of familiar symbols, set to make another seismic impact on the K-pop scene.
Recently, the group set the stage for their milestone year with a show-stopping performance at KCON LA 2025, their first as a full group there in nine years. Their veteran charisma had local fans roaring, while appearances on CBS Los Angeles’ KCAL News and KTLA’s Morning News secured them prime-time spotlight in the U.S.
Come September 1 at 6 PM KST, THE X officially drops — and MONSTA X is ready to take their decade of experience into a bold new chapter.
