Former Golden Child‘s Bomin has won his lawsuit against his assaulter. It was made known belatedly that he had stopped promotions for a period of time after a golf club had injured him. He had stepped up to a kiosk when someone had been in swing nearby, leading to injuried in the face. According to an exclusive from a legal newspaper, he had submitted a lawsuit on August 22, 2023, to both the assaulter and the management of a golf range. He sued them for damages faced financially due to his halted schedule.
According to insiders in the legal industry, he had been awarded a partial win during the trial on October 15, 2024. He was awarded ₩12.0 million KRW (about $8,600 USD) in damages, with the assaulter footing ₩10.6 million KRW (about $7,590 USD). The court also admitted that Bomin was at fault for not taking all safety accident prevention measures, limiting the assaulter’s responsibility. Bomin’s treatment expenses recognized as damages, as was some alimony, but the court did not award the damages received from Bomin’s inability to participate in schedules and contracts, given that no other party involved knew of his responsibilities.
Bomin left Golden Child in August 2024, and is now active as an actor.
