Chinese girl group A2O MAY is making waves in the U.S. music scene with their debut single, “Under My Skin,” marking a historic milestone as the first Chinese girl group to not only air on mainstream U.S. radio, but also chart. Released on December 20, 2024, the track is a bilingual release featuring both English and Mandarin versions. Despite initial streaming limitations due to licensing constraints, the song has gained significant traction, leading to its breakthrough on American airwaves.

Formed under A2O Entertainment, the new venture by K-pop industry legend Lee Soo-man, A2O MAY consists of five members: twin sisters MICHE and KAT from Hawaii, and Chinese natives SHIJIE, QUCHANG, and CHENYU. The group embodies Lee’s vision of “Zalpha Pop,” a genre representing a distinctive musical style showcased by A2O Entertainment’s artists, primarily from Generation Z and Generation Alpha.

Building on their momentum, A2O MAY is set to release their second single, “BOSS,” on April 25, 2025. Anticipation is high for this follow-up track, which aims to solidify their presence in the global pop landscape.

Adding to their rising profile, A2O MAY is scheduled to perform at the iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango concert on May 10, 2025, at Huntington City Beach. This event marks the festival’s return after a three-year hiatus and features a star-studded lineup including KINO (PENTAGON), xikers, NMIXX, and more. Their participation underscores the group’s growing international appeal and the increasing global influence of Asian pop artists.
