Aespa Winter’s Father Allegedly Hits Back At HYBE’s Bang Si Hyuk 

Amid the publicly brewing tension between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, aespa Winter‘s latest communication to fans on Bubble has become a hot topic in South Korea.

While talking to MYs about how supportive her family is, Winter might’ve let slip a clap back her father aimed at HYBE’s Bang Si Hyuk and his private request for Min Hee Jin to “crush” aespa.

The aespa star was sharing her family’s support through the hard times she has been having with her fans on Bubble earlier today. Winter mentioned how when she posted that she’s been having trouble lately on Instagram, her brother immediately messaged her — reassuringly letting her know that he would take care of everything.

Then, Winter revealed that her father had also texted her, sending a strong message of support. The content of her father’s message has gained attention from fans and netizens alike, as it seemingly resembles something Bang Si Hyuk had said about aespa in the past.

Winter: When I mentioned on Instagram that I was struggling, my brother said he’d take care of everything for me, remember?

Winter: After seeing that, our dad was like, “I will!!!! Crush them all for you!!! My daughter!!!!!!!”

Last month, Min Hee Jin exposed several conversations with Bang Si Hyuk and HYBE’s current CEO Park Ji Won during a highly emotional press conference regarding the feud between both parties. In one of the screenshots, as the two K-Pop giants were conversing about NewJeans’ new comeback, Bang asks Min Hee Jin to “crush” aespa.

Bang Si Hyuk: You can crush aespa, right? Heh.

Min Hee Jin: Hahaha.

Bang Si Hyuk: Hahaha. I’m leaving it to you then (emoji). When shall we have a drink?

It’s the use of the word “crush” that has driven netizens to believe Winter’s father aimed his comment at Bang Si Hyuk.

Meanwhile, aespa are gearing up for their comeback with their first full album Armageddon four years after their debut in 2020. The comeback is set to overlap with NewJeans upcoming release on May 24, something which has also gained attention — especially after the inclusion of aespa in the HYBE VS Min Hee Jin drama.
