WINNER's Song Mino has been discharged from his compulsory military service.
The idol was announced to have wrapped up his service at Mapo Community Service Center in Seoul on December 23, in a report by OSEN.
Song entered the Army New Training Center on March 24, 2023, receiving basic military training, and finished up his service at the community service as a form of alternative service as a social worker.
The idol has recently come under investigation due to allegations of manipulating his service attendance records, which were cleared up after an employee at the community service revealed that Song had difficulty fulfilling his service traditionally due to health issues.
After allegations that the singer didn't show up for work after taking a near-week-long trip to Hawaii at the end of October, his company YG Entertainment released a statement.
"The reason for the sick leave is an extension of the treatment he was receiving before his service," they said.
"All other vacation days, etc. were used in accordance with all regulations."
In the midst of Mino's controversy, fellow WINNER bandmate Kang Seung Yoon wrapped up his military service, having enlisted in June 2023, becoming the only member of the group to serve in the armed forces.
Kang received awards for his outstanding service, including commendation as an outstanding recruit, awards in book reviews and essay competitions, as well as an early promotion to the rank of corporal.
With Mino's discharge, all members of WINNER have completed their compulsory military service.
