Rumored marijuana usage at NCT 127‘s concert has gained attention online.

NCT 127 just kicked off the North American leg of their NEO CITY: THE MOMENTUM tour. The group will travel to six different cities and recently completed the Duluth, Georgia concert.

Despite being general admission, many reported that the lining up and entry to the venue went well. The group entertained fans with amazing performances during the night and left a lasting impact.

One moment in particular has gone viral online, however, with not entirely positive reactions.
A netizen shared a video of Doyoung near the ending of the concert, playing around before taking several smells of the air and making a face. The caption claims that he was reacting to the smell of weed being smoked in the concert’s pit.
is it even ncity if doyoung isn’t catching a whiff of y’all’s 🍃 in the pit??#THEMOMENTUMinDuluth #NCT127inDuluth #NCT127_NEOCITY_THE_MOMENTUM pic.twitter.com/enWAAKl6ka

Some claimed that smoking at concerts often happens at shows in America, and that it was nothing out of the ordinary.

Many others felt differently, however.
Marijuana is illegal in Korea and citizens even outside of the country can be penalized if caught using, a point offered by some fans. Others felt that using a drug with such a strong smell and smoking in general indoors was inconsiderate to others. Rather than demonize the usage of marijuana, most seemed to criticized how it was used in this case.
I can't express enough how genuinely utterly disgusting it is that someone smoked weed at this show. it's not cute it's not funny it's nonconsensual drug use being forced on everyone in that venue. you wouldn't smoke cigarettes so don't do weed. keep your nasty addiction at home. https://t.co/aETGR5MDvh

call me crazy but smoking in an enclosed space, which is a concert, and a lot of people could experience drug use without their consent in the air. being unconsiderate that some fans are also minors. If you want to get high, then don't drag other people on it, just saying https://t.co/vCsVwMyl7B

Concert etiquette is usually discussed with intention of making sure everyone at a show is able to enjoy it as much as possible, and many consider marijuana usage to be disruptive.
