K-pop girl group Apink is set to release a new single on April 19, marking the 14th anniversary of their debut.
The announcement was made by their agency, Choi Creative Lab, on Wednesday. The new song will feature the full group, which consists of five members—namely Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo, and Oh Ha-young.
The group has made it a tradition to release new music on their debut anniversary each year. In 2024, for instance, Apink released the single track "Wait Me There" for their 13th anniversary. The group's leader, Cho-rong, composed the song. This tradition began in 2015 with the single "If You Gesture." The group did not release a new song in 2016 but has since continued the tradition with "Always" (2017), "Miracle Story" (2018), "Everybody Ready?" (2019), "Thank You" (2021), and "Only I Know" (2022).
Their agency has not provided the title or the details of the new single. The song is scheduled to be released on various online music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on April 19.
Despite the absence of new music releases, Apink has maintained a strong presence in the K-pop industry. In December 2024, they successfully held their 7th solo concert, "PINK CHRISTMAS," in western Seoul. This event marked their first full-member show in four years.
Following their domestic performances, Apink went on the "Pink New Year" Asian tour from January 18 to March 7, 2025. The tour saw the group performing in Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Apink debuted in April 2011 with the extended play Seven Springs of Apink and the lead single "Mollayo." The original lineup consisted of seven members, including Na-eun and Hoo Yoo-kyung.
In April 2013, Hong Yoo-kyung left Apink, with the official reason given as her desire to focus on her studies. In April 2022, Son Na-eun also departed from the group to concentrate on her acting career.
