“Heesu in Class 2” finished in a flash, but if you’re already missing Heesu, the gang, and their messy quest for love, there’s more out there to watch. In “Heesu in Class 2,” the whole story was based on Heesu having a longtime (and secret) crush on his closest friend, and this isn’t at all new to BL.
For more K-BLs where there’s a secret crush on a friend, check out these four equally fun watches. They’re all about crushes, confessions, and being honest (however hard it may be).
1. “Something’s Not Right”
If you love best-friend crushes, one of the newest to join the club is “Something’s Not Right.” Now in college, leading man Ba Woo (Choi Min Ho) is trying to get rid of his long-held crush on his childhood best friend, Jee Hoon (Jeong Je Hyeon).
The story starts with Ba Woo’s attempt to cut ties once and for all with Jee Hoon, but it doesn’t quite work. Jee Hoon not only seems completely clueless to Ba Woo’s crush, but he’s also determined to maintain his close friendship with Ba Woo at all costs.
Ba Woo’s plans to move on are derailed further when his diary depicting his unrequited love story is found by a cheeky manhwa artist named Ha Min (Ji Min Seo). Ha Min thinks it would be the perfect story for a manhwa contest happening on campus, so he asks Ba Woo to work with him on it. Little does Ha Min know it’s Ba Woo’s true, ongoing story.
Why it’s worth the watch:
The complex relationship between Ba Woo and Jee Hoon is just so frustratingly good. Something is definitely not right and trying to figure out why they act the way they do around each other is quite the mystery to solve. This isn’t just a simple unrequited crush.

2. “Boys Be Brave!”
“Boys Be Brave!” is another best-friend crush scenario, but unlike “Hessu in Class 2,” the secret crush might not be so secret after all.
Kim Jin Woo (Kim Sung Hyen) is your average college guy on the hunt for his ideal type. He even has a written list of qualities he looks for that are a bit too specific. This might very well be fueled by his persistent, dead-end crush on his friend, Jung Ki Sub (Nam Si An). Despite Ki Sub breaking all the rules on his ideal type list, Jin Woo can’t seem to shake his feelings.
Ki Sub is a social butterfly who has been in his fair share of relationships, namely because he says yes to whoever confesses to him without much thought. Jin Woo knows this and therefore has no plans to confess to Ki Sub despite his persistent feelings.
Jin Woo thinks he’s an expert at hiding his feelings, but things get a little more complicated when Ki Sub declares he’s moving in with Jin Woo. What could go wrong?
Why it’s worth the watch:
There are actually two main couples in this, and both are equally interesting. While the main couple gets most of the silly, cute, and funny moments, the side couple has a contrastingly dark, tension-filled relationship. There’s actually also a tiny slice of GL in this one, but don’t expect more than a brief moment or two. The representation is still awesome!

3. “A Breeze of Love”
“A Breeze of Love” is about two “friends” getting a second chance after never getting to address their feelings for each other in high school.
Ban Dong Wook (Shin Jeong You) and Lee Do Hyun (Woo Ji Han) meet in high school, and there’s an undeniable spark between the two. After a brief but sweet time together, circumstances lead to the two parting ways and their feelings left unresolved.
Coincidentally, they meet again in college, when Do Hyun reluctantly lets Dong Wook fill in for a player on his basketball team. Despite still being angry about how they parted in the past, Do Hyun, captain of the basketball team, is desperate to find a good enough player to compete in the tournament finals.
In order for Do Hyun to get Dong Wook to play on the team, he agrees to a deal. If Dong Wook helps them win, he can ask Do Hyun for any wish.
Why it’s worth the watch:
The chemistry between Dong Wook and Do Hyun is on another level. Even when the two are feuding, they seem to want to take care of each other. Do Hyun also has terrible insomnia and that ties into the storyline in an interesting way (you’ll have to watch to find out how).
4. “Our Dating Sim”
Lee Wan (Lee Jong Hyuk) and Shin Gi Tae (Lee Seung Gyu) were best buds in high school until a clumsy confession leaves their relationship unclear. After Lee Wan confesses he likes Gi Tae more than a friend, he runs off without a word.
Years pass before the two end up working together in the same office on a dating-themed game. Lee Wan tries, and mostly fails, to keep his cool and leave their past behind them, but Gi Tae holds a grudge from being left at the altar, so to speak.
Lee Wan was excited to finally get a worthwhile job, but Gi Tae isn’t letting him off so easily.
Why it’s worth the watch:
The fact that Lee Wan and Gi Tae must work together on a dating simulation game is perfectly on the nose, and the tidbits at the end of the episodes that resemble an actual dating sim add to the fun. The irony of their situation means lots of funny and awkward situations at the office.
