BIGHIT MUSIC recently released a statement on Weverse about taking strict legal action to protect BTS from various malicious activities.

Malicious activities including defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, dissemination of false information, and ill-intentioned criticisms are being investigated to ensure the perpetrators will be prosecuted to the full extent.

Following a previous lawsuit, several people behind harmful posts were identified, including YouTuber Sojang. Some individuals were fined, some are still under investigation, and others are on trial, with efforts ongoing to hold them accountable. A stalker was also identified, prosecuted, and fined 10M KRW.

BIGHIT MUSIC also shared an updated way to report malicious posts targeting BTS.
BIGHIT MUSIC is always open to reports from fans regarding violations of our artists’ rights. If you encounter malicious posts or illegal activities involving our artists, such as IP infringement, please report them through the “HYBE Artist Rights Violation Report Website (protect.hybecorp.com).” To ensure that fan reports are effectively used in legal actions, we recommend submitting full-screen screenshots from a PC or full-page print files (PDF) rather than mobile screenshots. Additionally, please ensure that the URL, username, content of the post, and date of the screenshot are clearly visible in your submission, as such information is critical for legal proceedings.
