With the album’s release has come ratings, and while many have been extremely positive, one has stood out for its low ranking of her album.

On December 19, the American music magazine Pitchfork shared its rating of Rosé’s album. Pitchfork rates albums on a scale of 1-10, with a small percentage of albums getting ranked a 10, the most recent of which occurred in 2020.  Rosé’s album received a 5.5, below the average 7.0 Pitchfork has given across its rankings.

The rating also came with a written review, with the writer stating that rosie leaned on “outdated references and thinly sketched heartache,” praising “APT. (featuring Bruno Mars)” as the standout of the album.

Even with the support of a major label, a star-studded committee of songwriters and producers, and Rosé’s eight years of experience in BLACKPINK, rosie offers nothing revealing or exciting.

While some echoed the article’s opinions on the release…

If it wasn't for Bruno, that album would've gone unnoticed, it's just surviving bc of that APT song, it would've done worse then her other peers solo projects https://t.co/CCmL2y1jZ6
