With several photos of Jennie attached, the original poster claimed that Jennie has started to look more and more like Hwasa, sparking speculation among some users that she may be “intentionally”  copying the MAMAMOO member’s style.

Honestly, it feels like Jennie is copying Hwasa…

Lately, why does Jennie give off such Hwasa vibes? The more time passes, the more she looks like her.

However, many netizens were quick to defend Jennie, dismissing the comparison and calling it baseless. Some fans even expressed confusion at the claim, pointing out that both artists have their own unique identities and that Jennie, in particular, has built a strong image that doesn’t rely on copying others.

  • “What is this… Even Hwasa fans would be baffled by this post.”
  • “You’re probably just losing your mind with jealousy because Jennie’s solo album blew up.”
  • “Why would Jennie copy Hwasa… They don’t even look remotely alike.”
  • “Why would Queen Jennie copy an irrelevant ‘controversy queen’? LOL That’s like saying Karina is copying that ‘Good Thing’ chick.”
  • “Sigh… Jennie must really be popular.”
  • “These days, she’s pushing the hot girl concept way too hard… It feels like she’s overly targeting the overseas market… But she’s crossed the line to the point where it doesn’t look hot—it just looks trashy.”

While the original post clearly struck a nerve and generated plenty of heated discussion, the majority of Korean netizens appear to be siding with Jennie, rejecting the idea that she’s drawing inspiration from Hwasa.
