BLACKPINK‘s latest announcement has triggered major backlash, with it also aimed at the members this time.

The tour has been surrounded by controversies, and one of the main issues regards a comeback. BLACKPINK hasn’t released anything since their last tour, and with rumors and articles about the comeback, neither the group nor YG Entertainment released any official news, with speculations and waiting from fans.
On June 23, official news was confirmed. According to news outlets, in a statement from YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK will be debuting their new song for the first time at their shows in Goyang on July 5 and 6.
When the news was shared, netizens were furious. “BOYCOTT YG ENTERTAINMENT” trended as fans shared their reactions and how they believe the company is sabotaging BLACKPINK.
i hope BLACKPINK takes ownership of their group name and establishes their own label, just like they did as solo artists, or find a label. YG no longer suits them and i wish they'd see this and move forward. the girls lurk on here, and i hope they know how disappointed we feel.

Yet, while the past criticism has been aimed at YG Entertainment, many BLINKs have shared sadness at the members, saying that they would have had some say in the rollout of the song and how the group is managed.
Disclaimer: This isn’t an attack on the girls. We can love them and still acknowledge that there are things they could’ve handled better. Holding them accountable isn’t hate, it’s just honesty from someone who cares.

Spam girls Instagrams too, so they can realize how they ruined BP's legacy renewing their contract with YG, they should've let the group die 2 years ago and it would've been better.

And all their solo release+ promotions should've been done in 2024 not in 2025 , they renewed the contract and purposely delayed the time for the Group . If anyone is to blame it's the members

Netizens also alleged that the news sparked so much anger in fans that there had been many “re-sell” tickets come up for upcoming BLACKPINK shows, although there is no confirmation that there is a link between the two.
People reselling their tickets @BLACKPINK this is bad

With the tour set to start in less than a few weeks, it seems like the excitement has been overshadowed.
