BLACKPINK’s Lisa Discusses The Group’s Upcoming Promotion Plans, Sparking Fury At YG Entertainment

On February 28, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa appeared as the featured guest on BIGBANG Daesung‘s Zip Daesung.

During the interview, Daesung brought up how two out of the four BLACKPINK members had appeared on the show already, and wondered if he would be able to get all of them to appear. He asked Lisa if BLACKPINK would be “avoiding” shows, clarifying that he was asking if BLACKPINK would do any variety or YouTube programs.

Lisa says, “BLACKPINK rarely appears on shows,” and Daesung continues to try to get her to say BLACKPINK will come on his show, with no success beyond Lisa saying she would discuss it with the members.

The moment was humorous for the pair on the show but sparked some strong reactions from fans online.

Many fans were disappointed that the group’s promotions would be short after such a long wait.

Others pointed their anger to YG Entertainment, which still handles the group’s activities even though they are under different agencies for their solo activities. Fans specifically pointed to how the individual members have done plenty of promotions for their own work, saying that YG is at fault for the lack of promotions or activities that may occur when the comeback happens.
