Global superstars BTS have once again proven their unmatched global influence as their latest album, ARIRANG, stormed Apple Music charts across the world.
Released on March 21, ARIRANG claimed No. 1 on Apple Music album charts in 102 countries and regions within just one day, eventually topping charts in 115 countries and regions. Over the release weekend, the album consistently held No. 1 positions in at least 100 countries daily, marking one of the strongest global performances ever on the platform.
The album’s title track, “SWIM,” became the most-played song globally, while every track from ARIRANG entered the “Daily Top 100: Global” chart. By March 23, seven songs were in the global Top 10, including “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” and “FYA”, ranking No. 2 to No. 4 respectively.
ARIRANG also set a personal record for BTS on Apple Music, achieving the group’s largest first-day and first-weekend plays ever. On March 20, BTS became the No. 1 artist globally by total plays, with streams eight times higher than their 30-day daily average, highlighting massive listener engagement.
Fans also flocked to Apple Music’s lyrics features, with all 14 tracks from ARIRANG ranking in the platform’s Top 14 most-viewed lyrics, and songs like “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” and “FYA” receiving heavy attention for translation views.
To celebrate the release, Apple Music offered exclusive content, including “Track by Track Commentary: BTS on ARIRANG,” where members shared insights into the creative process and meaning behind each song. Fans also enjoyed a seven-hour special broadcast, ARMY Radio, chronicling BTS’ journey from debut to today, along with exclusive voice messages.
Additionally, BTS appeared on The Zane Lowe Show, discussing the themes and stories behind ARIRANG, further amplifying global fan engagement.
This record-breaking performance confirms that ARIRANG is BTS’ most powerful global release on Apple Music to date, continuing to resonate deeply with fans worldwide.
