On June 24, Jimin attended the DIOR show during Paris Fashion Week.

Images of Jimin from Getty, known for its often harsh, unedited photos, were shared online, sparking a wave of criticism of the idol’s visuals.

This turned malicious, with some editing the photos to make Jimin look “worse.” Still, the original photos faced a decent amount of backlash as well, centered around his styling.

On June 25th, Jimin shared photos from the DIOR event, showing himself alone and posing with others.

After the images made their way to X, some began calling out the idol for “photoshopping” and editing the images. Based on the real Getty Images photos, some editing was done to the images’ color, with Jimin’s posted photos all having a similar, less saturated filter.

The idol was mocked over the changes, including by those using the fake edited images.

K-netizens had more mixed reactions, with some reminding that Jimin is a celebrity and most edit their photos for social media.

  • “Is there anyone who doesn’t post photos where they look good and have been edited on their own Instagram? Especially when they’re a celebrity.”
