BTS‘s Jin recently shared some exclusive behind-the-scenes stories of his experience of filming with Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.

On May 27, KST, Jin appeared as a guest on Red Velvet member Wendy‘s radio show, Young Street, and dished out some of the lesser-known details of his collaboration with Cruise.

The idol recently filmed an episode of his web variety show, Run Jin, with Tom Cruise. As soon as the teaser for the episode came out, it sparked a huge anticipation among fans, who are now dying to see this unexpected pair in the typical chaotic setting of an average Run Jin episode.

Talking about the process of how the collaboration started and how he secured such a senior Hollywood actor for an appearance on the show, Jin shockingly revealed that his team didn’t take the initiative. It was, in fact, Tom Cruise’s team that reached out first, and the broadcast was planned accordingly.
We didn’t reach out first — it was Tom Cruise’s team who said they wanted to appear. So we planned the broadcast around that.

The BTS member also shared that he got to watch Cruise’s upcoming movie Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning before its release.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise also spoke very highly of Jin in a recent interview at the Cannes Film Festival, calling him “very talented” and praising his work ethic.
