BTS’s Jungkook recently surprised ARMYs with an unexpected live broadcast via Weverse for the first time since his mandatory military enlistment.

Jungkook spent some of his break with ARMYs because he missed them. He gave them life updates before singing some karaoke.

jungkook is the top k-soloist of 2024. at his level, he’s doing a live while on military leave & even jotting down the songs we are asking him to sing in his notes—this is jungkook 🥹 you can’t find another idol like him 😭🫶 pic.twitter.com/VAFZ0ghydl

Jungkook took some song requests and sang a variety selected by ARMYs. He sang some of his own hit songs, as well as others’, such as BLACKPINK Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT” and ILLIT’s hit song, “Magnetic.”

Another artist who got a shoutout was JYP Entertainment band DAY6, as a viewer asked Jungkook to sing their songs “You Were Beautiful” and “HAPPY.”

jungkook mentioned day6 yeppeoseo 😭 pic.twitter.com/Jm1h6iFOaq

Jungkook claimed he could not sing DAY6’s songs because they were “too high,” though.

We could've had Jungkook do a cover of DAY6's 'You Were Beautiful' and/or 'HAPPY' on his live today, which is also Young K's birthday (12.19), but he said that both are too high 😭 pic.twitter.com/rATZCQHOgA

Yet, one moment still amused fans, as Jungkook referred to DAY6 as “sunbaenim.” He forgot that BTS had actually debuted over 2 years before DAY6. While BTS debuted on June 13, 2013, DAY6 debuted on September 7, 2015.

“yeppeosseo is day6 sunbaenim’s… they’re our sunbaenim right? they must be…” BRO LITERALLY FORGOT BTS DEBUTED 2 YEARS BEFORE DAY6 😭😭😭😭😭 https://t.co/p9wEWljNT7

the way he stuttered mentioning day6 as his sunbaenim is taking me out cause he probably thought day6 members have the same age as epik high 😭 https://t.co/maWrBt97nC

MyDays (DAY6 fans) credit Jungkook’s mistake to the DAY6 members’ “uncle energies.” All members are younger than BTS’s older member, Jin, but most are 30 or older (the maknae, Dowoon, turns 30 next year, though).

It was a cute mistake on Jungkook’s part, and fans can’t blame him!
