BTS’s RM Accused Of Lying To Take Credit For Jungkook’s Solo Career

BTS leader RM’s recent mention of Jungkook in his interview with Rolling Stone has ruffled some feathers.

In a recent interview with the publication, RM revealed that he had advocated for Jungkook to be able to release the explicit version of “Seven.” Although Jungkook was completely on board with the explicitness of the chorus, “I’ll be f*ckin’ you right/Seven days a week,” RM said that the executives at BTS’s music label, HYBE, were “nervous” about greenlighting it and that they wanted to change it to “loving you right.” “I told the label, ‘Please don’t change!” RM revealed, showing his support for the group’s youngest.

Though the leader backed the decision of Jungkook, this anecdote has stirred up a storm on social media, where fans of the latter accused RM of trying to take credit without any contribution. These fans argued that Jungkook had handled the decisions regarding his solo album, Golden, all on his own, and even if the executives needed any convincing, he was capable of handling it alone as well.

However, ARMYs have strongly defended RM, stating that Jungkook had a strong pillar of support in him and the supposed enmity between the two was nothing but projection on the part of certain people on the internet.
