The market was featured in one of V’s recent Instagram updates. He posted a picture of him in his military uniform at the market. As fans got curious about the location, some figured out that the bench he was sitting on in the photo was in Pungmul Market, under the Gyeingchun Line railroad piers. Above the bench, an excerpt from Chuncheon-born writer Kim Yu Jeong‘s Camellia Blossoms is engraved.

The spot immediately became a hot topic among Korean netizens, with many announcing their plans to visit soon. This sudden increased traffic of attention toward the Pungmul Market has boosted the city’s plans to invest ₩1.00 billion KRW (about $684,000 USD) to expand the market and turn it into a local landmark!

While the plan was already in place, V’s visit has added more weightage to the possibility of the market becoming a tourist attraction for K-Pop fans from all over the world.
