Choi Jin Hyuk, Oh Yeon Seo, Hong Jong Hyun, and Kim Da Som Bring Romantic Comedy Chemistry to Channel A’s “Positively Yours”

Channel A’s new weekend drama Positively Yours is set to premiere on January 17, promising a playful mix of romance, comedy, and unexpected twists.

Based on a popular web novel and webtoon of the same name, the series centers on a man and a woman who have vowed never to marry — until a one-night stand brings them into each other’s lives in unpredictable ways.

Ahead of the premiere, Channel A released character posters and a teaser trailer on December 31, giving viewers a first glimpse of the four main leads and their dynamic relationships. The posters, set against refreshing blue and vibrant pink backgrounds, highlight each character’s personality and charm.

Choi Jin Hyuk stars as Kang Doo-joon, the tall, handsome heir to Taehan Group, whose lonely gaze hints at both excitement and responsibility. His poster features the line: “Are you the father of the child? Let’s do it. Love. Let’s do it properly,” teasing his role in the unexpected romantic entanglement.

Oh Yeon Seo plays Jang Hee-won, a workaholic and single woman determined to avoid marriage. Her bold declaration — “I can say this for sure. There’s no marriage in this life” — sets the stage for the upheaval her life will face after crossing paths with Doo-joon.

Hong Jong Hyun appears as Cha Min-wook, Hee-won’s best friend of 15 years, who wields a gentle yet charming presence. Holding flowers in the teaser, he hints at a confession to Hee-won with the line: “Friendship… I guess it wasn’t. Looking back, there hasn’t been a single day I haven’t liked you,” teasing a shift in their long-standing relationship.

Kim Dasom plays Hwang Mi-ran, Hee-won’s confident and outspoken best friend, who boldly approaches Min-wook with: “Cha Min-wook, do you want to go out with me? Being affectionate is poison to me.” Her character adds a humorous and assertive dynamic to the ensemble, promising playful romantic tension.

The accompanying character trailer expands on the personalities and relationships, showing Doo-joon and Hee-won’s workaholic tendencies and the growing romantic tension between the leads. Min-wook’s concern over Doo-joon’s closeness to Hee-won, along with Mi-ran’s confident pursuit of Min-wook, sets the stage for a story filled with both comedic and heartfelt moments.
