BLACKPINK member Lisa has sparked a massive online scuffle with her recent interview.
The issue in concern sprung from Lisa’s recent appearance on the YouTube channel of Vanity Fair, where she took a lie detector test.
One of the questions that was asked of the idol was related to her skill as a polyglot. After pointing out that she was able to speak three languages, the interviewer asked if Lisa believed people who can speak only one language were lazy. The idol immediately answered, “No, they’re not.”
However, the lie detector flagged Lisa’s answer as a lie, prompting the interviewer to cheekily ask the idol to “look into the camera and tell everyone watching to get off their as* and start learning a second language.”
Lisa bursts into a laugh before admitting that learning a second language is “more helpful,” subtly encouraging viewers to learn new languages.
This fun moment from the interview quickly went viral on social media, with fans losing it over Lisa’s inability to lie tactfully. However, the conversation soon shifted with many questioning whether the idol was calling her own bandmate, Jisoo, lazy, given that she is fluent only in Korean.

However, fans were quick to defend both idols, pointing out that it was simply a humorous moment and dragging Jisoo into it was unnecessary, given that she can also speak and understand English pretty well.
