Red Velvet‘s Irene recently held a fansign to celebrate her solo debut. While fans have been excited for her, they couldn’t help but feel mistreated at her fansigns. According to fans, the rules have suddenly gotten stricter without any real reason. Compared to other idols’ fansigns, it seemed like Red Velvet’s was impossibly “unreasonable.”
Fans listed out the rules set for their fansigns.
레드벨벳 팬싸인회 안되는 것
1. 선물 편지 직접 전달하기 -> 행사 전 박스로 수거
2. 대본 (종이 안된대서 손바닥에 써갔더니 그거마저 알콜스왑으로 박박 지움)

Things you can’t do at Red Velvet’s fansign.
- You cannot pass them letters or gifts. They collect it via a box before the event.
- You can’t bring a script with you. Even if you write it on your palm, they’ll wipe it off with an alcohol swab.
- Even if it is a private fansign, you cannot film inside the arena. They don’t even let you use your phones, so you have to basically meditate out for two hours.
- No fansign items allowed. Even if the members want to, the manager runs out and shouts at them to stop. Then the members apologize [to fans].
- Only during photo time, you can use your phone to film. DSLRs are prohibited.
- No recording allowed. They search your body when you go up.
- You can’t go to the toilet. Once you enter, you can’t leave. Once you leave, you can’t enter. You have to hold it in. This differs from retailer to retailer though. Some places let you.
- When you write post-its during group fansigns, you can’t use their nicknames. You only can use their stage names. If you include a heart, they ask you to write it again without it.
- After the event ends, you can’t leave until the artists leaves the venue. This is to stop you from seeing them off.
- You really have to go with just your bare self, you can’t bring photocards up to sign and stuff too. Even if the members say to bring it next time, the manager tells you it isn’t allowed.
Managers, what are you guys? Save the rights of Luvies.
