The rising K-pop girl group UNIS mesmerized fans at their first-ever Philippine fan concert, UNIS in CURIOUSland, held at the New Frontier Theater in Manila on October 25, 2024.
Presented by Universal Records Philippines, the event highlighted the group’s remarkable talent and electric performances, leaving a lasting impression on their Filipino fanbase, the EverAfters.
This marks UNIS’s second visit to the Philippines, following their successful 3-day fan sign event held in May. Already familiar with the warmth and energy of their Filipino EverAfters, the group was welcomed by ecstatic cheers from the moment they took the stage with a dynamic remix of their debut single, Superwoman.
Following the energetic opening, each member introduced themselves—Elisia, Yunha, Hyeonju, Kotoko, Nana, Yoona, and Gehlee—all hyping the crowd with lively greetings. “It’s so nice to see you all today. Excited na ba kayo?” Gehlee asked, playfully adding to the excitement. The group answered with an endearing heart pose when asked about the night’s energy, drawing laughter and applause.
The night gained momentum with their high-energy track Dopamine, a clear fan favorite, followed by POPPIN’, a bubblegum pop delight from their newest single album. After a brief water break and some crowd interaction, they closed the first set with Datin’ Myself.
The energy never wavered, even during VCR breaks, as UNIS premiered a behind-the-scenes look at their preparation for a special performance of Pantropiko by BINI. Anticipation was high, especially given that members Gehlee, Elisia, and Seowon had previously performed the song as a unit on 1theK’s World Pop Live. The crowd erupted when the whole group returned to the stage, singing every line with perfect pronunciation—a surprise that Filipino EverAfters loved, joining in with spirited sing-alongs.
In line with the night’s interactive theme, lucky fans received raffle prizes like signed Polaroids (including both individual and group photos). Some also had the chance to join the girls in a fun Random Play Dance, with winners receiving signed albums personalized with their names.
The concert continued with a cover of Twice’s Cheer Up, where Elisia expressed the group’s gratitude for the overwhelming love from Manila EverAfters, saying, “Your cheers have truly touched us tonight. We love it so much.”
As the night winded down, the members addressed the crowd, sharing heartfelt thanks for their attendance despite the inclement weather. The group announced that a portion of the concert’s proceeds would be donated to victims of Typhoon Kristine (Trami), wishing everyone a safe journey home after such a vibrant night.
The fan concert concluded with Dream of Girls and their newest single, Curious. An encore of Watchu Need was performed shortly a full English song from their debut EP, We UNIS.
After their performances, SVIP ticket holders enjoyed a final treat: exclusive photo ops and a hi-touch session with the group.
The night ended on a high note as UNIS bid a heartfelt farewell to their Filipino EverAfters, promising to return for even bigger stages and more unforgettable moments. Their successful first Philippine fan concert, filled with passionate performances, warm interactions, and meaningful gestures, solidified their bond with their Filipino fans. With a powerful encore and special fan benefits, UNIS left an indelible mark on Manila, ensuring that this night would be cherished by EverAfters until the group’s next visit.
