D82 is turning up the volume on Korean rock, and their latest single, ‘Vinasse,’ proves they’re a band you need to hear.
Korean rock band D82 has officially released their second single, ‘Vinasse,’ on February 2, 2025, captivating listeners with their refined sound and emotional intensity. Following the success of their previous releases, the four-member band continues to push boundaries, blending technical prowess with raw storytelling.
Comprising Kim Changhyun (leader, keyboard), Han Seung Yun (vocal, guitar), Kim Eunse (bass), and Hwang Minjae(drums), D82 first gained widespread recognition through Mnet’s survival show ‘Great Seoul Invasion’ in 2022. Their performances on the program highlighted their musicianship, energy, and depth, setting them apart as a standout act in Korea’s growing rock scene.
Since their debut mini album ‘Take Off’ on April 20, 2024, the band has consistently evolved their sound. Their first single, ‘숲’, released on August 3, 2024, introduced audiences to their atmospheric and emotionally charged style. Now, with ‘Vinasse,’ they take another leap forward, delivering a track that fuses intricate instrumentals with powerful lyrical depth.
The meaning behind their name, D82, stems from South Korea’s dial code (82)—a reflection of their ambition to extend their influence beyond Korea’s borders. With each release, they solidify their place in the rock scene, proving that their artistry is not just about sound but about leaving a lasting impact.
With ‘Vinasse’ now available, fans can experience the next chapter of D82’s journey while eagerly awaiting what the rising rock quartet has in store next.
