After the utter chaos and downright unsafe situations that unfolded at JYP Entertainment‘s band DAY6‘s concert in Jakarta, Indonesia, Mecima Pro (the local organizer/promoter of the concert) has finally stepped forward to take accountability.
Chaos Erupts At DAY6’s Concert In Jakarta, Fans Wait In Danger
Mecima Pro took to its official social media platforms and apologized to DAY6, JYPE, and “all DAY6 fans who attended the Jakarta concert,” for “all the inconveniences [they] experienced.” The apology, that came in three different languages, admitted to Mecima Pro “not [upholding] the standard” that the artists and concert goers deserve and noted it “[takes] full responsibility for what happened” (though not specific).

To all DAY6 fans who attended the Jakarta concert, we sincerely apologize for all the inconveniences you experienced. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
— Mecima Pro
Mecima Pro went on to assure K-Pop fans that it is taking measures to prevent such issues from recurring, though the statement has not been well received.

Between local fans who continue to protest against Mecima Pro for its questionable business practices—like controversial last-minute venue change, altered seating arrangements, and a strict no-refund policy despite those changes—and Korean fans expressing disappointment at the local fans for “taking it out on the artist,” the issue remains somewhat unresolved despite all the official statements.
