DAY6 member Wonpil couldn’t hold back his tears during a deeply touching moment at the group’s recent concert in Seoul.
On December 21, DAY6 (members Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon) performed their special concert, The Present, at the Gocheok Sky Dome — marking a historic milestone as the first K-pop band ever to take the stage at the iconic and huge venue.
The two-day event celebrated the band’s decade-long journey, featuring songs from their debut album all the way to their latest mini-album, Band Aid, released in September this year.
DAY6 is so crazy for performing Still There, Didn't Know, YWB, and Like A Flowing Wind, and Congratulations back to back to back to back to back with an actual orchestra bye 🥲

Of course, hits like “You Were Beautiful” were not missing from the setlist.
The highlight of the night came during their performance of the debut track “Congratulations,” which was elevated by a live orchestra of 56 musicians. The grand arrangement, paired with a confetti-filled finale, left the audience captivated and emotional.
During the performance, Wonpil was visibly emotionally overwhelmed, pausing at moments as tears welled in his eyes.

After returning to the stage, the DAY6 star shared his thoughts and explained why he suddenly broke down in tears.
I felt so grateful that we could be on a stage like this. We worked hard this year, pouring our energy into songwriting and a packed schedule. We’ve come this far, hand in hand with My Day (the official fandom name), and the fact that we can perform on this stage with the people we love made me emotional.

Fellow member Young K also opened up about how much their debut song means to the group. The fact that it’s so loved by so many people just makes it even better.
It’s amazing that our debut song is still loved to this day. Singing it together with the people we cherish makes it all the more moving.
