Director Jang JaeHyun Wins Best Director at the Baeksang Arts Awards

Director Jang JaeHyun was honored with the Best Director award in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards. His work, 'Exhuma,' received recognition for his artistic effort and creativity during the live broadcast of the 60th ceremony on the 7th at 5 pm.

In his acceptance speech, Jang JaeHyun expressed gratitude towards his family, who had been patient and supportive throughout the years. He shared, "I would like to share this honor with the best staff in South Korea who created the movie 'Exhuma' with me. Also, I would like to dedicate this honor to the actors I love and respect, including Lee DoHyun, Kim GoEun, Yoo HaeJin, and Choi MinSik."

'Exhuma' is an occult mystery film that depicts supernatural events encountered by geomancers, morticians, and shamans in the process of relocating a suspicious grave for a large sum of money. Jointly produced by Showbox, Finecut Production, and MCNC, the movie was released on February 22nd this year and has since become the first blockbuster to hit 10 million viewers.

This award proves Director Jang JaeHyun's delicate directing skills and excellent storytelling have been recognized by both the public and critics. The success of 'Exhuma' not only achieved box office success but also served as an opportunity to expand the diversity and potential of Korean cinema.
