Disney Looks Ahead at D23 With First Looks Across Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and More

Disney brought its biggest franchises and upcoming projects together at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, Calif., where thousands of fans gathered for a day of exclusive reveals, immersive experiences and first looks.The Disney Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center was opened by Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro, who highlighted the company’s connection with more than four billion fans around the world. The sold-out event featured appearances from stars, filmmakers, creators and performers across Disney’s entertainment brands.Disney kicked off the showcase with updates from its film studios. Lilo & Stitch 2 is set to begin production in Hawaiʻi later this year and will arrive in cinemas May 26, 2028. The Bluey Movie, based on the popular animated series, debuted a new teaser and poster ahead of its Aug. 6, 2027 theatrical release. Ice Age: Boiling Point also received an exclusive clip, with the film set to arrive in cinemas Feb. 5, 2027.The live-action Tangled adaptation was also spotlighted, with Kathryn Hahn appearing onstage and Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim joining through a taped message from Spain.
