ENHYPEN Sunghoon Called 'Worse Dancer' Than Normal People After Dance Challenge with aespa Karina

Following his "Whiplash" dance challenge with aespa Karina, ENHYPEN Sunghoon earned backlash for his "poor" dancing skills, with some netters labeling him as a "bad dancer."

On October 27, the representative 4th-gen idols Karina and Sunghoon sent fans into a frenzy after doing the "Whiplash" dance challenge. This is to commemorate aespa's return with its 5th mini-album of the same name on the 21st.

Seeing the two stars' top-tier visuals in one frame created a buzz among K-pop stans, especially ENGENEs (ENHYPEN fandom) and MYs (aespa fans).

As of writing, the collab video has reached 11 million views on Instagram and 7.8 million views on TikTok, not even a day has passed since it was posted.

While this interaction amassed rave reviews, the video was ridiculously used to hate on Sunghoon, criticizing him after seeing how he danced. According to netters, the male idol was so "stiff" during the highlight choreography that the trend wasn't given its justice.

On TikTok and theqoo, both K-Netz and I-Netz expressed their disappointment with the "Sweet Venom" singer with his underwhelming dance. Some web commenters started labeling him as a "worse dancer" than ordinary people.

They also used Sunghoon to hate HYBE, claiming that he is the result of a company that prioritized visuals over talents. Here are some of the comments:

• "Every time I see (Sunghoon), he always acts so insincerely."
• "The guy is so stiff, he's like a stick."
• "Wow, I didn't know it was this bad."
• "If you're going to do it like that, don't do the challenge. What is that?"
• "How can a (former) figure skater be this stiff? Rather, shouldn't figure skaters be more flexible than the average men?"
• "Wow, he's a worse dancer than normal people."
• "I'm confused if it is because you just can't do it or you're just insincere."
• "He can't dance."

On the flip side, ENGENEs also defended the male idol, claiming that Sunghoon has already proven his top skills with their past performances and a single dance challenge that was supposed to be a fun collab shouldn't become a basis for him to be called a "bad dancer."
