EXO is set to dive deeper into storytelling and sensual expression with their 8th full-length album, REVERXE, dropping on January 19.
Featuring nine tracks, the album traces an emotional arc—from the thrill of love’s first spark, to all-consuming passion, and finally the ache of separation.
Leading the album is the title track “Crown,” a hard-hitting dance song that likens a beloved person to a priceless crown, capturing the resolve to risk everything to protect what matters most.
The tracklist showcases EXO’s musical versatility. “Back Pocket” blends mid-tempo R&B with chunky guitar riffs and a funky bass line, creating an irresistible groove. Its lyrics paint the longing to stay close to someone who stirs an unexplainable attraction.
Meanwhile, “Touch & Go” leans into minimal pop, driven by a steady drum loop, arpeggiated synths, and vocal chops. The song cleverly compares falling in love to dominoes cascading one after another.
Adding another layer, “Flatline” is a mid-tempo pop-rock track built on a poetic acoustic guitar melody and ethereal synth textures. Its lyrics liken life to a journey across the sea, with one precious person shining as a guiding milestone.
EXO’s REVERXE will be released in full across major music platforms at 6 p.m. on January 19.
