If you’re planning a trip to Korea during spring, there’s one thing you must add to your bucket list—cherry blossoms. Every year from late March to April, South Korea transforms into a delicate pink dreamscape. Streets, parks, and riversides burst into color with blooming cherry blossoms, and locals gather to enjoy beotkkot 벛꽃 (cherry blossom). It’s a fleeting, magical season where the air feels softer, the breeze carries petals like confetti, and time seems to slow down.
We joined the Spring Special: Cherry Blossom 1 Day Tour through Trazy—Korea’s No.1 travel shop to make the most of this beautiful season. The Journey Begins: Easy Meet-Up & Warm Welcome
Meeting up was a breeze. We gathered at the designated pickup point in Seoul, where our friendly tour guide, David, welcomed us with a big smile and a clear rundown of the day’s plan (with some surprises to come!). The tour was well-organized from the get-go, with everything taken care of so we could just sit back and enjoy the ride.
First Stop: A Sweet Start at Cheonan Hodu Service Area
Before the flower-chasing began, we stopped at Cheonan Hodu Service Area, famous for its walnut cakes—a warm, gooey delight stuffed with red bean paste and real walnut pieces. It was the perfect morning treat to warm our bellies and prepare us for spring adventures.
Cherry Blossom Stop #1: Osong Lake Park – A Quiet Neighborhood Gem
Our first cherry blossom viewing spot was Osong Park, a peaceful neighborhood park by a lake. The area felt like a local secret—families pushing strollers, dog-walkers enjoying the spring breeze, and groups of toddlers with their teachers. Cherry blossom trees lined the lake in full bloom, and when the wind blew, soft petals floated through the air like a romantic movie scene. It was 감성 (gamsung) overload—in the best way.
Cherry Blossom Stop #2: Musim Stream – Local Eats & Euro Vibes
Next up was Musim Stream, a lovely riverside path that quickly became a favorite of mine. David gave us great local food recs, and I ended up at a cozy donkatsu shop filled with locals—a 동네맛집 (neighborhood hidden gem). You can even choose your spice level! I went for level 1, and it had just the right kick.
The stream was stunning, with a wooden bridge that made for the perfect photo spot. Nearby, a tulip garden gave the entire area a European vibe for a moment—it was like being in a postcard.
Cherry Blossom Stop #3: Yangjae Stream – The Surprise Showstopper
Initially, we were set to visit Hwangguji Stream, but David pivoted last-minute after learning the flowers weren’t fully bloomed there. Instead, he took us to Yangjae Stream, and wow—what a decision. The cherry blossoms here were in full, breathtaking bloom. The petals danced on the water's surface, cafes lined the banks, and locals lounged by the river soaking in the sun. It felt like walking through a K-drama set. This spot had the largest, most whole blossoms of the day, and just strolling along the water under that soft pink canopy felt like therapy for the soul.
If you’re planning a spring trip to Korea, book through Trazy. This cherry blossom tour was hands-down one of my favorite travel days, and I wouldn’t have experienced these beautiful hidden gems without it.
