A Korean woman was arrested at the Fukuoka airport after reportedly injuring a customs officer who stopped her from filming a K-Pop idol.

The incident occurred on February 17 at the Fukuoka Airport’s international terminal. The 29-year-old woman was allegedly taking pictures of a male K-Pop idol near the baggage inspection area. Since this zone is a restricted photography area, customs officers at the scene stopped her from taking pictures.

At this, the woman became violent and elbowed the officer in the chest. She also reportedly attempted to strike the officer’s face. Other customs officers intervened and arrested her, but she also tried to resist arrest by lying on the floor and flailing.

The assailant has been identified as a self-proclaimed designer, Chee Rin, and she is a South Korean citizen. After being arrested on suspicion of obstructing a public official’s duties, she was taken for police questioning. She reportedly denied the charges and claimed that she hadn’t hit anyone.
