[FANMEETING RECAP] EXO’s Baekhyun Delivers the “Best Day” Ever for Fans

On February 2, 2025, thousands of EXO-Ls (EXO’s fanbase), or what he casually and cutely nicknamed, Eris, flocked to the SM Mall of Asia Arena to spend the “Best Day” with Genius Idol, best-seller soloist, and EXO’s main vocalist, Baekhyun. 

The famous local fashion brand Bench presented this fan meeting event as part of their initiative to bring their “Global Benchsetter” closer to Baekhyun’s fans.

The arena, packed with EXO-Ls, roared in excitement as the 32-year-old singer greeted them with his opening song “Good Morning.” The artist knew how to set the energy for the event as he went around the stage to wave to the audience as they sang along with him.

After brief introductions, fans excitedly showcased their special surprise for Baekhyun—expressing “I love you” in three languages. Touched by their gesture, the singer warmly responded by saying the words back with affection. After this, a Q&A portion ensued and talked about Baekhyun’s well-known facts that the fans endearingly teased him in some of the answers he shared, seemingly knowing Baekhyun more than he knows himself. This also highlighted Baekhyun’s Philippine experiences, like the food he liked, like the infamous Jollibee meals and surprisingly, Bulalo in none other than Ben Chan, Bench’s CEO, and food he wants to try, places he’d like to go, and things he’d like to do in the country, like Cebu as his relaxation destination preference.

Diving into the artist’s creativity, they discussed Baekhyun’s music video for his hit single, Pineapple Slice. He explained that the theme centered on bats and vampires, both of which perfectly captured the song’s sultry undertones. 

Another delightful spoiler that excited the fans is how he teased the fans about his upcoming tour and will come back to the Philippines! Looks like we’ll be seeing more of soloist Baekhyun shining brightly! And it looks like he loves the Filipino EXO-Ls to give this massive spoiler!

Game Time!

No fan meeting would be complete without some interactive fun! The Genius Idol showcased his wits and competitive spirit through games like Bencha Can Spot the Difference, where he identified differences between his photoshoot images, and Not Solo – A Pairing Game, where he matched card pairs on screen. Baekhyun tackled each game with intensity, and his fans matched his energy, displaying teamwork as they helped him earn points. The Filipino EXO-Ls were also given a chance to showcase their dancing talent to Baekhyun with the challenges he did personally and some of his dance choreography as well, which brought out Baekhyun’s competitive charm, challenging fans to dance with more energy! We can never beat yours, Mr. Baekhyun!

Easy on the Easel

Switching gears from games to artistry, “Baek-casso,” was tasked with drawing on a shirt. With a clever twist, he sketched a literal bench to represent the Bench brand, presenting this unique gift to Bench founder Ben Chan—a moment of genius and humor combined.

Best (Day) of Luck!

Thrilling raffle draws were another highlight, with Baekhyun personally picking winners for prizes like signed Polaroids and shirts. His personal touch in selecting the winners amplified the excitement in the crowd.

As the event drew to a close, with a touching tribute, fans prepared a video expressing their love and gratitude, showcasing the profound impact Baekhyun has had on their lives. Moved by the heartfelt gesture, Baekhyun smiled and reacted to every second of the video.

The Best of Days

To wrap up the “Best Day,” Baekhyun treated fans to live performances of his songs, “Rendezvous” and encouraged Eris to sing as loud as they could bringing him out for an encore “Pineapple Slice.” He also performed “Garden in the Air”, giving a LONSDALAITE flashback to the fans with the lightstick play he did during his successful Asian tour.

Looking back on his last Asian tour, we can’t help but celebrate the immense success he achieved—one that left an unforgettable mark on fans worldwide. Now, with the exciting news of his upcoming tour, there’s no doubt that the genius idol himself is set to reach even greater heights, perhaps meant to surpass his records, as he does whenever he releases an album. As Baekhyun continues to evolve and captivate with his artistry, we, like the rest of his loyal fans and K-POP as a whole, anticipate with excitement as we hold our breath for his next move.
