FIFA Accused Of “Shading” BTS Following “World Cup” Halftime Performance

Netizens were not happy.

FIFA has been accused of “shading” BTS on social media following their recent performance.

On July 19, BTS performed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup halftime show.

On Instagram, FIFA posted about the final and included many of the performances.

BTS was included in a highlight reel with all the other performers, but this sparked anger as netizens noticed that the other singers had separate posts on the account but BTS didn’t.

Many hit back at FIFA’s treatment of BTS, and some even thought they were being shady towards the idols when it came to the separate coverage of the idols compared to the other acts.

I’m upset that FIFA has not posted an instagram reel of BTS’ performance yesterday and they posted reels of all the other performances. Not cool. Idk why they do this.

Yeah, @FIFAWorldCup official ig account did a thing. They gave all the performers at the first ever half time show at a FIFA world cup final individual performance clip space on their ig page and not BTS!! Fifa official Instagram page made three different posts for each half time performer and zero for BTS… Like the artist that carried the show didn't get a single individual post on their page . what must BTS do for people to acknowledge them? Should they become white?
