Former SM Entertainment Trainee Steals The Spotlight In K-Drama

Actress Park Jung Yeon, daughter of veteran singer Park Hak Gi, is gaining attention for her emotional performance in KBS2’s weekend drama Brilliant Days.

Before her rise as an actress, Park Jung Yeon actually trained under SM Entertainment after joining the company in 2015. Even back then, fans noticed her for her idol-like visuals and charming presence. She also appeared in BTS‘s MV opposite Suga. instead of debuting in a girl group, she chose a different path.

Park later signed with Salt Entertainment, home to top actors like Kim Seon Ho and Park Shin Hye, officially beginning her acting career.

In Brilliant Days, she plays Park Young Ra, a young woman who has lived like a puppet under her controlling mother (played by Lee Tae Ran). Through her encounter with Ji Wan (Son Sang Yeon), Young Ra begins to rediscover herself.

Recently, her agency released adorable behind-the-scenes photos of Park Jung Yeon on set, showcasing her beauty.

According to reports by Korean media, fans especially praised her emotional scene in Episode 24, where Young Ra eats instant noodles by the Han River for the first time after escaping her mother’s watch. Her teary-eyed portrayal of freedom and growth left viewers deeply moved.
