Fourth-Gen Girl Group Member Bluntly Admits To Not Wanting To Be An Idol Anymore

A fourth-generation girl group member has sparked heartbreak after admitting she didn’t wish to continue being an idol.

Purple Kiss member Swan made this announcement, leaving many fans feeling bummed.

During a recent laidback livestream, the former girl group member was asked by a fan if she would continue working in the K-Pop industry, now that Purple Kiss had disbanded. Swan answered with unexpected honesty, admitting that while she wanted to continue being a singer, she didn’t want to be an idol anymore.

Swan emphasized that she didn’t want to be a part of a group anymore, adding that she had had “enough” of that career.

This candid admission has left many fans saddened, since it effectively eliminates any possibility of Purple Kiss reuniting as a group in the future.

However, they also showed understanding, pointing out how Swan never got her due appreciation despite her long career in the idol industry.

Meanwhile, Swan debtuted as a member of Purple Kiss in 2018 and was active with the group until their disbandment in 2025. Despite the dissolution of the group, the members are bound to RBW Entertainment by exclusive contracts until March 2028.
