Girl Generation’s Fans Join In Slamming DAY6’s Jakarta Concert Organizer For An Unexpected Issue

DAY6‘s recent Jakarta concert has become a major controversy, and now Girls’ Generation fans have also joined in the condemnation of the concert’s organizers.

DAY6 fans were already outraged over the multiple issues they faced while trying to attend the event. Mecima Pro, the company that organized and managed the concert, changed the venue abruptly and even altered the seating plan without offering ticket buyers any refund. On the day of the concert, fans had to wait outside in severe weather with no shelter, as the organizers didn’t bother to make any arrangements apart from flimsy tents that came apart in the rain and storm.

As a result of this mismanagement, fans started protesting inside and outside the venue, calling out Mecima Pro for ruining this experience for both the artists and the audience members.

DAY6 Ditches Customary Concert Ritual Supporting Protests Against “Sh*tty” Organizers

The outrage against the organizer only grew stronger after some fans later discovered that they had been careless about every little aspect of the event, down to the confetti. As it turned out, the organizers had reused confetti pieces that were originally meant for Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon‘s concert.

During Taeyeon’s recent 10th anniversary concerts, she prepared special confetti pieces that contained handwritten messages and slogans. Since many fans take concert confetti pieces home as souvenirs, this gesture from the singer has received high praise.

After DAY6’s Jakarta concert, when some audience members collected the confetti pieces, they quickly realized that those were from Taeyeon’s concert, as they contained the same handwritten messages and slogans on them.

This discovery has sparked a huge uproar on social media against the organizers from both fan bases. People were furious that Mecima Pro didn’t even bother to check the concert supplies, thereby disrespecting both DAY6 and Taeyeon.
