ICHILLIN‘s Joonie recently shared a memory from her trainee days during a live stream. In a candid session, she disclosed that during her time as a trainee, she and her fellow trainees were required to watch a BTS documentary. This exercise wasn’t merely for entertainment! It was an assignment aimed at helping them understand the realities of idol life and the importance of humility in their careers.
Although not specified which of BTS’s many documentaries it was that she watched, the documentary provided an intimate look into the lives of BTS members, showcasing their struggles, dedication, and the challenges they faced on their journey to stardom. By observing BTS’s experiences, Joonie and her fellow trainees were encouraged to reflect deeply on the sacrifices and responsibilities that come with being an idol. Joonie claimed that the exercise was meant to help them learn humility and hard work.

At that time, we had to watch this BTS documentary. I’m not exactly sure which documentary it was, but after we watched it, we had to write like notes on how we felt about it, what we learned while watching the documentary. The documentary was about what the BTS sunbaenims felt and went through during their trainee days and how they endured it. We just had to write how we felt about that.

BTS continues to serve as inspiration for many other hopefuls today.
