The Bias List is a K-pop blog that also covers a fair amount of J-pop. But just like most music fans, I enjoy tracks from all around the world. So, I thought I’d start a monthly round-up of some of the non-K-pop songs that have caught my ear. No ratings — just highlights!

Aliisa Syrjä – Meit Ei Löydä Kukaan
Such a nice Scandinavian sound. Dancey but also melancholic.
Chrissy Chlapecka – Passionfruit
She keeps jumping from strength to strength. This is bombastic and bonkers.
Doja Cat – AAAHH MEN!
This and Gorgeous are my favorite new songs from the album. This one reminds me of early 2000s hip-hop in the best, most colorful way.
Eleni Foureira – Alleluia
Big-chorused anthem from the Greek pop star.
Evelina – Yks Yö
Scandinavia just knows how to churn out these beautiful, crystalline pop tracks.
Felicia – Black Widow
A very addictive dance track in the Future Nostalgia gestalt.
Greczula – ’09
His album is like Queen meets 80s Bryan Adams. In other words, a ton of good theatrical, nostalgic rock.
JVG – Jääpähän
I’m not so into their straightforward hip-hop tracks, but these dancier moments are fantastic.
KeiiNO – End Of The Rainbow
I’m so excited for their upcoming album. This is such a pop banger!
Kim Petras – I Like Ur Look
Early-2010s EDM pop in a very fun way.
Magdalene – Tough Love
Gaga-esque dance pop. She pulls it off very well.
Melanie C – Sweat
A slamming dance track from Sporty Spice. The beat goes off.
Michael Medrano – Primadonna
His usual sleazy dance sound with added European flair.
Mirella – Vähän enemmän
Percolating pop from Finland.
Rose Gray – Lotus
Her deluxe tracks have been so great so far. This has some immense instrumental loops that are incredibly satisfying.
Roxy Dekker – GO BESTFRIEND
The Dutch phenom continues her run of speedy pop hits.
Sigala – Hello (ft. Leigh-Anne & Jonita Ghandi)
I’ll always sit up and pay attention to a new Sigala track. This tropical sound feels so suited to summer. I wonder why they waited on releasing it until now?
Sophie And The Giants – Pink Champagne
One of their strongest tracks yet. Very catchy, 80s inspired pop.
TPCX – Ask Me Out
This is my favorite track in this month’s round-up. I adore this band and this is so unhinged in the best way. The song absolutely shreds and the lyrics are very funny.
Zara Larsson – Hot & Sexy
Her album is full of strong, uncomplicated pop. This song is probably my favorite b-side because it’s just so fun.
