Actress Han So Hee is reportedly in talks for stepping into the shoes of an iconic character previously portrayed by the American actress Anne Hathaway.

On May 9, KST, OSEN reported that Han is one of the leading names being considered for the lead role in the Korean remake of The Intern. The 2015 cult classic starred Anne Hathaway in the role of Jules, a charismatic female CEO who achieved immense success at a young age.

The character of Jules was portrayed as a young, passionate leader with a taste for good fashion and an intense level of workaholism. According to OSEN, Han So Hee’s unique refined visuals and acting skills are being deemed as a good fit for this character.
The Hollywood original also starred Robert De Niro in the role of Ben, a retired executive who rejoins the workforce as an intern at Jules’ company. This lead role is expected to go to veteran actor Choi Min Sik in the Korean remake.

While fans’ anticipation for the movie is already high, netizens have expressed their doubts about the casting.

- “I can’t really imagine them together.”
- Neither of them fits the roles.”

- “She’s too young and doesn’t suit it.”
- “I can’t look forward to it because she can’t act well.”
- “Huh? It doesn’t suit her.”
- “Since he’s f*cking good at acting, I think Choi Min Sik would do well. They will somehow end up fitting well, I feel.”
