SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi surprised fans on his Instagram after he finished his basic military training.

Hoshi shared photos with his parents while holding the certificate, and sweet moments with his dog, Latte.

On Weverse, he also wrote to his fans, thanking them for their loving support. The English translation reads:

“Salute! 🫡 Private Kwon SoonYoung reporting.
Hello, CARATs.
I completed my training safely and well.
I missed you a lot at the training center,
and the letters you sent gave me so much strength.
Many of them began with,
“I don’t know if this letter will reach you or if you’ll be able to read it…”
Every single one of those feelings reached me,
and I could feel all the care, kindness, and warmth in them.
I was truly moved each time I read them.
Thanks to you, I was able to keep going and finish my training strong.
From now on, even when I’m assigned to my unit,
I’ll think of CARATs and do my best with even more spirit.
Thank you. 🫡”

He started his basic military training at the training center on September 16th, and now, after the completion ceremony, he continues his service as an active-duty soldier in the army. Since he entered training, he has never failed to show his love to fans, from drawings to even the Horanghae sign in group photos.
