HYBE has partnered with Korea’s Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency (NGPPA) to combat the growing threat of deepfake cybercrimes affecting its artists.

This collaboration strengthens efforts to swiftly address online exploitation, ensuring a safer digital environment for talent under HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC.

With the rapid rise of AI-generated deepfake content, HYBE and NGPPA are taking decisive action. The agreement includes faster offender arrests and the launch of a dedicated hotline in Korea for reporting deepfake-related crimes. These measures align with HYBE’s commitment to artist protection and digital safety, reinforcing proactive strategies across its multi-label structure.

NGPPA, recognized as Korea’s leading cybercrime investigation unit, brings extensive expertise to the partnership. Ranked first in the nation for cyber sexual violence investigations in 2023 and 2024, the agency aims to enhance its capabilities in tackling crimes within the entertainment industry.

Jason Jaesang Lee, CEO of HYBE, emphasized, “We are proud to collaborate with NGPPA, a leading authority in cybercrime investigations. HYBE remains committed to safeguarding our artists’ rights in the evolving digital landscape.”

Ho-seung Kim, District Chief of NGPPA, added, “As technology advances, cybercrimes are becoming more sophisticated. Partnering with HYBE, Korea’s top entertainment company, will allow us to enhance our investigative capabilities and respond more effectively to these threats.”
