‘IDOLCHAMP’ Opens Voting For Six Popularity Award Categories At The ‘2025 APAN STAR AWARDS’

MBC Plus and mobile advertising platform TNK Factory have announced that their jointly operated fandom app IDOLCHAMP will host fan voting for six popularity categories at the upcoming 2025 APAN STAR AWARDS. The APAN STAR AWARDS, organized by the Korea Entertainment Management Association, celebrates excellence in Korean television drama and entertainment. The 2025 ceremony will take place on Dec. 29 at the DDP Art Hall 1 in Dongdaemun, Seoul.

Six Categories Open for Global Fan Voting

This year’s popularity awards will be determined entirely by fan votes across six categories: Male Actor, Female Actor, Global Star, OST, Best Couple, and Best Entertainer. The competition will consist of preliminary and final rounds.

In the preliminary round, 20 nominees will advance in each of the Male/Female Actor, Global Star, and OST categories, while 10 nominees will move forward in the OST, Best Couple, and Best Character categories.

Final results will be determined by a weighted score — 30% from preliminary votes and 70% from final votes.

Voting opens on November 6 and is available on both the IDOLCHAMP and MyOnePick apps.

Nominees Include Leading Stars of Korean Entertainment

The Male Actor Popularity Award nominees include: Kim SeonHo, Park BoGum, Park SeoHam, Byeon WooSeok, Lee JunHyuk, Joo JiHoon, Choo YoungWoo, and Hwang MinHyun.

The Female Actor Popularity Award nominees are: Go YoonJung, Kim JiWon, Kim HyeYoon, Park EunBin, Suzy, IU, Lee SeYoung, and Chun WooHee.

Nominees for the Global Star Award include: RoWoon, Park HyungSik, Lee JunHo, Kim SeJeong, Park BoYoung, Mun KaYoung, and JiSoo.

In the OST Award category, contenders include:

• PLAVE – “We Don’t Stop” (“The Fiery Priest 2”)
• Jin (BTS) – “Close to You” (“When The Stars Gossip”)
• Son TaeJin – “I’ll Take You In My Arms” (“Desperate Mrs. SeonJu”)
• ZEROBASEONE – “D-DAY” (“Head Over Heels”)

For the Best Couple Award, the nominees are: Han JiMin & Lee JunHyuk (“Love Scout”), Park BoYoung & Park JinYoung (GOT7) (“Our Unwritten Seoul”), Lee JunHo & Kim MinHa (“Typhoon Family”), IU & Park BoGum (“When Life Gives You Tangerines”), and Hyeri & Jung SooBin (“Friendly Rivalry”).

The Best Entertainer Award nominees — recognized for their versatility across acting, music, and variety shows — include Cha EunWoo, Lee JunYoung, Yoon DooJoon, Jung EunJi, and BIBI.
