ITZY Kicks Off Comeback Countdown For New Album

ITZY is officially returning to the spotlight this June with their highly anticipated new album Girls Will Be Girls, and the countdown has already begun.

On the morning of May 12, JYP Entertainment dropped both a cinematic trailer video and a promotional scheduler via ITZY’s official social media channels, kicking off full-scale comeback promotions.

The trailer—crafted by acclaimed commercial director Yoo Kwang-hwang—plays out like a short film, following the members’ emotional quest to restart Ryujin’s heartbeat, setting a dramatic and visually rich tone for this comeback era.

Adding an extra surprise, JYP’s chief producer Park Jin-young makes a special cameo, appearing with a cassette radio in front of a short-haired Ryujin. The rest of the members—Yeji, Lia, Chaeryeong, and Yuna—captivate with striking visuals, expressive performances, and elegant dance moves that hint at a bold new concept for their first comeback of 2025.
