BLACKPINK’s Jennie has shared behind-the-scenes stories of her Coachella performance!
On May 7, Jennie appeared as a guest on “You Quiz on the Block.” During the broadcast, she opened up about her Coachella experience, revealing that she spent a staggering 16 months preparing for the performance.
Talking about Coachella, Jennie explained, “It’s one of the biggest music festivals in the world. It runs for two weeks. From Friday to Sunday, countless artists gather in the middle of the desert for this festival.”
Jennie, who performed in front of a crowd of around 250,000 people, shared, “Even while I was on stage, I was surprised by the energy. I don’t know why I felt so emotional. It felt like I was being rewarded for all the determination that went into the preparation. Before the performance, I wondered, ‘Will people come watch?’ But looking out from the stage, there was no end in sight.”
When asked how many times she had rewatched her Coachella performance, Jennie revealed, “I watched the full thing maybe twice, and then it kept popping up. I kept going back to it on my phone. I normally don’t monitor myself much. I tend to overthink, so I try to keep some distance because I might fixate on small details. But I did watch a bit of Coachella. Not because it was perfect, but because I sincerely gave it my all. It was a little embarrassing, but I watched it.”
