ARMYs were surprised by Jungkook's unexpected livestream, where he opened up about listening to G-Dragon's songs. This led some ARMYs to side-eye other "fans" of BTS who loathe G-Dragon and BIGBANG.
On December 18, Jungkook delighted everyone with a livestream on Weverse. Notably, the "Standing Next to You" singer held the live broadcast amid his military service, which also highlighted Jungkook's unfaltering love for his fans.
During the broadcast, Jungkook shared how happy he was to see G-Dragon making a comeback and that he sang along to "Power" and "Home Sweet Home."
"I'm really, really happy that he made a comeback. When 'Power' and 'Home Sweet Home' came out, I tried singing along and definitely. I got goosebumps."
However, on X (formerly Twitter), ARMYs mentioned the "fans" who hate BIGBANG and G-Dragon.
The sentiments also rooted from earlier fan wars between the two fandoms due to a generational clash, which can be broken down to reasons ranging from setting standards in K-pop, artistry, popularity, and number of achievements.
"I need all the people who said he doesn't like GD anymore to speak up again," one commented.
Another remarked, "Crazy that his stans hate GD and BIGBANG when this guy worships them."
