South Korean girl group Kep1er has confirmed its upcoming August comeback alongside the release of a stunning new chic photoshoot in DAZED Korea magazine's July 2025 issue.

The seven-member group, now operating under management companies WakeOne and Klap Entertainment, is set to return with their first album in nine months.

The group's representative officially confirmed the August comeback date on June 25, stating its return after about nine months since their sixth mini-album TIPI-TAP was released in November 2024. The announcement comes as Kep1er prepares for its first world tour titled "Into The Orbit: Kep1asia," which will begin in Seoul on September 20-21.

The new photoshoot, featured in DAZED Korea's July issue under the title "Lavender Groove," showcases the group's evolved image with natural lighting and lavender-hued aesthetics. The editorial has garnered significant attention from K-pop enthusiasts, with fans praising the authentic skin tones and the group's effortless charisma displayed throughout the shoot.

Kep1er's current lineup consists of seven members: Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Ezaki Hikaru, and Shen Xiaoting. The group underwent a significant change in May 2024 when members Mashiro and Yeseo departed after the expiration of their contracts, while the remaining seven members chose to renew theirs.

The upcoming August comeback will be highly anticipated as it follows the group's transformation into a seven-member ensemble. Member Hikaru expressed excitement about the tour during a recent interview, sharing her dream of performing in her hometown of Fukuoka.

Leader Choi Yu-jin also conveyed her appreciation for the team's unity, stating her commitment to creating amazing performances and memories together.

The world tour announcement coincides with the group's comeback plans, with the cosmic-themed "Into The Orbit: Kep1asia" tour featuring stops in major Asian cities including Seoul, Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Kyoto. The tour poster displays a striking cosmic design with vibrant colors like brown, khaki, and orange, hinting at the new universe Kep1er plans to present during their performances.

Kep1er's journey began through Mnet's survival show "Girls Planet 999" in 2021, leading to their debut in January 2022 with the mini-album First Impact. Since then, they have established themselves as a prominent fourth-generation K-pop group, with their debut single "Wa Da Da" setting records for the fastest time a girl group's debut song reached number one on local music shows.

With their August comeback and subsequent world tour, Kep1er aims to showcase their growth and expanded musical world as they enter this new chapter as a seven-member group. The combination of their sophisticated new photoshoot aesthetic and upcoming musical release signals the group's evolution into a more mature and refined act in the competitive K-pop landscape.
