The K-Pop industry is gearing up to welcome its very first Malaysian idol in the coming weeks.
An entertainment agency called Lean Branding is all set to launch a global girl group next month, and the lineup includes Lingling, a Malaysian trainee. Notably, she was a participant on Mnet‘s I-Land 2: N/a.
On April 18, KST, Lean Branding released a brand new set of profile images of Lingling, confirming her position as a member of the upcoming girl group.

In the caption, she wrote, “The stage I’ve longed for. Now, I begin again,” teasing immense anticipation for her debut.

Lingling will be the first Malaysian K-Pop idol once Lean Banding’s new girl group debuts. So, not only is it going to be an exciting moment for the fans she gained through I-Land 2, but also a watershed moment that could prompt more diversity in the K-Pop industry moving forward.
