Kangta has renewed his contract with SM Entertainment!
On April 2, SM Entertainment stated, “Kangta is a valuable artist who is part of SM’s 30-year history. We will actively support Kangta’s activities in various fields and continue to create a wonderful future together.”
Kangta commented, “I’m delighted to be continuing my relationship with SM, who has supported and watched over me since my pre-debut trainee days. I will keep striving to present great work both as an artist and as a producer.”
Kangta is a singer and songwriter who made his debut in 1996 as a member of the group H.O.T. Since 2014, he has served as a non-executive director at SM Entertainment, acting as an in-house creative director, sharing his expertise with junior artists, and contributing to the development of SM’s content and new business ventures. More recently, he has taken on the role of executive producer for the K-pop production label SMASHHIT, collaborating with various writers to promote the growth of K-pop.
