KATSEYE is kicking off the new year on a high note, officially releasing their new single “Internet Girl” at midnight on January 2.
The track arrives as a New Year gift to fans worldwide, chosen as a Fan Favorite Track to thank listeners for their support.
“Internet Girl” bursts with bright dance-pop energy and an instantly addictive hook. The playful lyrics explore the chaos of online attention and differing opinions—delivered with the upbeat wit and sparkling confidence that define KATSEYE’s sound.
The song first debuted live during the group’s “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS” North American tour, where it immediately won over audiences. Despite being unreleased at the time, fans were soon singing along as the members lit up the stage with expressive choreography, playful hand gestures, and emoji-inspired movements.
With its tongue-in-cheek take on internet culture, the song channels KATSEYE’s fearless charisma and dynamic performance style, making it as addictive visually as it is sonically.
Formed through The Debut: Dream Academy—a global project developed using K-pop methodology—KATSEYE debuted in the U.S. in June 2024 and has since become a standout example of HYBE’s multi-market, multi-genre strategy led by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk.
The group made waves last year with “Gnarly” and “Gabriela,” both landing on the Billboard Hot 100, while their second EP Beautiful Chaos peaked at No. 4. Adding to the momentum, KATSEYE is currently nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards on February 1—raising anticipation for what promises to be a milestone year.
